PAD Outdoor’s Modish Pod Planters

We photographed PAD Outdoor’s line of aluminum planters (designed by Thomas Robertson and Eli Bonerz) in studio with and without plants. We wanted clients to be able to see each vessel’s clean lines and modern design while also able to envision them planted. A botanist styled the Pods primarily using succulents (plants often associated with modern architecture), and the location shots were taken at a Neutra house in Los Angeles, whose contemporary construction accented the oranges, reds and sea foam blues of the planters. Being granted unlimited access to a house designed by one of California’s leading Modernist architects was truly inspirational.
